Jannie Ho, a.k.a Chickengirl, suggested that I take a class at SVA called Advanced Illustration & the Marketplace with Matt Archambault. Half the class was about the marketplace, how to have a career as an illustrator in a business that has changed since when I was in art school.
The other half was about art, an exploration of process, style and subject matter. We were encouraged to bring in stuff that we were working on so I made a couple of pieces expressly for the class. This is the first one I brought in for show and tell.

This picture went over well but there was a request to make another one where the tank is more dramatic, coming at the viewer, perhaps over some obstacle. I made one of those which will be the subject of another post.
